We'll work together to find what's right for you
What We Do
Sydney Shope, DNP, NP in Psychiatry collaborates with clients to manage a variety of conditions and stressors, including anxiety, depression, trauma, attention deficit disorder, relationship challenges, and work-related stressors. Typically, the first step in working with the practice is a brief phone discussion with Sydney, followed by a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation with one of our providers depending on who is the best fit for for you. During the evaluation, we work to determine if ongoing medication management and/or psychotherapy is right for you. They also offer consultations for people who are already in treatment but want another opinion or to consider other treatment options.
Therapy
We believe in highly individualized treatment, focusing on each client’s unique needs. To assist in creating healthier habits, reducing stress, and breaking unhelpful patterns, such as rumination, negative self-talk, and compulsive worry, Sydney use elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, supportive therapy, rational emotive behavior therapy, and motivational interviewing. If you have a therapist or counselor you already work with, your provider will work collaboratively with them.
Medication
Medication in tandem with therapy is frequently the most effective treatment. We can determine if medication is right for you. By empowering you with the knowledge you need to make an informed decision, we helps you find the right medication and supports you along the way.
Working Together
We believe in seeing fewer clients and taking time to provide the best care possible for each individual. They meet with clients depending on their needs, ranging from once a week to once a month; the frequency and length of sessions can be modified to meet each individual’s specific needs and goals.
